From there he worked with Compund Ent as a Singer/Songwriter, and toured with grammy award winning artist Ne-yo as a backup singer. At this point he was able to take arranging vocals to the next level. He appeared on Jay Leno, Craig Fergusson, as well as Regis and Kelly, during this time. J. Sol also co-wrote and was featured on the theme song for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which is one of the world’s biggest soccer tournaments. With all of the accomplishments building, and the many to come, J. Sol reflects on what he wants to be remembered for here, “I want to be remembered as a man that figured it all out. I aim to be seen as someone who will influence people to believe in their inner powers, as well as the connection to everything around them. I feel my purpose is much bigger than the music, but it’s the music that will allow me to tell my story.” Music is meant to build, inspire, and change lives. He fully understands the power in every song, and he plans to change the tune of what we hear today, and from this day on.
